Your website has one primary function: above all else, sell it! Whether it's your modeling portfolio, a product or service, or just a blog about gardening, it needs to make sure your audience is sold on your content.
A website should be a reflection of your self or business, not just words on a screen. I build custom, uniquely crafted websites that capture your personality or aesthetic.
Structure, typography, affordance - all keys to good design, but if you're not inspired by the end result then you can bet your audience won't be either. Feeling inspired yet?
SEE IT CLEARLY
Sometimes all you have is a rough idea of your final product. Let me take it from there and bring your idea into full focus. Together we can fully realize your website.
LOOKING FOR A WEB DESIGNER?
LUCKY YOU! I'M CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR NEW PROJECTS.
Brief Bio // I'm a freelance web designer and developer who strongly dabbles in graphic design as well. This is a passion as much as it is a job. I have many interests but if you were to boil me down to just the most basic aspects of who I am you'd find a family man - a husband and a father - and a highly creative person. Beyond that, I'm just as complex as any other person and try to enjoy this life to the fullest.
WHAT I WATCH
I’m a self-described film geek and a huge fan of directors like Kubrick, Tarantino, del Toro, and Aronofsky who aren’t afraid to push the envelope and explore bold new ideas.
A few of my favorites: The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Snatch, Casablanca, The Third Man and many others.
WHAT I HEAR
I’m not a musician but I love music; how it motivates, transforms, and inspires me.
A few artists I listen to compulsively are Radiohead, The Black Keys, Fleet Foxes, Pixies, Pearl Jam, The Toadies, Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Sublime and several others. You can probably tell I have a little soft spot for the 90’s.
WHAT I READ
I’m currently reading Damn Good Advice by George Lois. So far, it’s a damn good book.
A couple others I’ve recently read and would recommend: Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative by Austin Kleon, Whatever You Think, Think The Opposite by Paul Arden.
About this Blog // I like to fancy myself a writer to one degree or another. Nothing special but when I get an itch to write about something relevant to me this is where to find it. You'll find I have a broad interest in topics: technology, science, design, photography, music, etc.
A website isn't truly complete without one of the final touches: the Favorites Icon - better known as the favicon. It's that cute little site-specific icon that sits next to the web address or site name in your browser (see image). It's also one of the most often overlooked details when building a website but it definitely has importance.

Yesterday I was asked, "What is your personal design philosophy?" It's an awkward question for me because I'm not sure I have an answer. What I adhere to isn't what I'd call a philosophy but more of a design instict with some standard rules to keep me in check. So my goal is to come up with a legitimate answer by creating a personal design philosophy of my own by the end of this article.

My five-year-old son is an Angry Birds fanatic. To the point now that he charges around the house making Angry Bird noises as he "crashes" into furniture, walls, or, painfully, his own parents; imagining we are the very structures keeping him from those malicious green little pigs. It was cute at first, but now I can only sigh or groan and shake my head.
Surely you're wondering what Angry Birds... » Read More
